Curator's Corner: Winchester Model 1887 Lever-Action Shotgun

Описание к видео Curator's Corner: Winchester Model 1887 Lever-Action Shotgun

On this edition of Curator's Corner, John Popp sits down with the NRA National Firearms Museum's Senior Curator Phil Schreier. The two continue looking at shotguns, examining the Winchester 1887 Lever Action Shotgun. This John Browning designed lever action repeating shotgun has a tubular magazine for 12 or 10 gauge rounds; all one has to do is work the action. So what's the issue? In order to get that long shell to go up in the chamber, this is a big receiver in the back, so it's a little awkward to work. But it wasn't too awkward for a certain actor... who? Watch and find out!

To find more than 10,000 zoomable images of the 3,000 firearms at the museum at the NFM's website, http://www.NRAmuseum.com. http://www.NRAnews.com. (Originally aired on Sportsman Channel Cam & Co. 4/8/13).
