Goan Jeerem Meerem recipe|JIREM MIREM|

Jereem Meerem can be made with both meat & fish ,in fish preferably white fish like white pomfret and in meats beef,chicken or mutton. Jereem is jeera or cumin and Meerem is pepper or miri in the konkani goan language.This jeerem meerem is a blend of few spices ,which makes it very aromatic . You can make this and store it in a clean dry glass bottle and keep it in your refrigerator or a cool dry place.
Ingredients
jeerem meerem masala powder
4 tsp of cumin/jeera powder.
3 tsps of pepper /miri powder
1 tsp of clove/lavang powder
1/4 tsp of turmeric/haldi powder
1/2 tsp of red chilli powder
other ingredients
250 gms of chicken/beef/fish/mutton
(for beef or mutton pre cook the meat in a pressure cooker)
2 medium onions chopped
1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste(5 cloves of garlic & 1 inch of ginger)
1 small tomato
2 light green chillies
1 medium sized potato
1 tbsp of tamarind juice
