Veranda Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the education and training of families and those who provide hands-on care to those living with Dementia. The day respite program provides activity-based care for individuals living with all forms of Dementia. It provides a safe and caring environment while giving family caregivers a much-needed break.

The Veranda respite day program has served as Veranda Ministries’ flagship program since 2012, using Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) training techniques. Veranda Ministries is also recognized as a “PAC Designated Organization” and is the only Tennessee organization to hold that designation.

Veranda Ministries expanded its services in recent years to include Dementia doula and end-of-life doula programs, grief counseling, and an in-person and online support group. The organization also launched “Aging, Angst and Alleluias,” a podcast on aging, senior advocacy, Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, and the blessing of caregiving.
