He first became interested in the relationship between language and politics during a discussion in English class about George Orwell’s novels 1984 and Animal Farm. These novels kickstarted his interest in how politicians use language to communicate their agendas to the public, and how people respond to political rhetoric. He finds it especially interesting considering the current political climate.
