In this video we look at what is meant by the Certificate of Airworthiness and How the Certification of an Aircraft takes place.
We take a look at how a primary certifying authority follows a certain set of procedures which are derived from the International Civil Aviation Organization's Airworthiness Manual. Different certifying authorities such as FAA and EASA hold the responsibility of certifying an aircraft as Airworthy, meaning that the aircraft is safe to carry crew, passengers and payload.

We look at how the designer and the manufactures work with the certifying authority and the process involved for an Aircraft to be certified. In general all civil aircraft should have a certificate of airworthiness inorder to fly.
