In a major diplomatic breakthrough, former US President Donald Trump praised the leadership of India and Pakistan for agreeing to a full ceasefire after tense escalations. Trump credited the United States for mediating the peace deal and expressed support for a long-term resolution to the Kashmir issue.

The ceasefire, effective from 5 PM Saturday, came after Indian strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK in response to the Pahalgam attack. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that both nations agreed to halt all military actions along the Line of Control and International Border.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance played key roles in high-level talks with PM Narendra Modi, PM Shehbaz Sharif, Minister S. Jaishankar, Army Chief Asim Munir, and NSAs Ajit Doval and Asim Malik. Both sides also agreed to begin formal talks at a neutral venue.

This marks a significant moment in India-Pakistan relations, with global implications for peace, diplomacy, and regional stability.
