On December 12, the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) marked its 50th anniversary at the ALU-APSU-ITF Building, bringing together leaders and representatives from all 21 affiliated federations in a historic celebration of unity and solidarity.

Joined by TUCP’s social partners and Speaker Faustino “Bogie” Dy III, the golden anniversary honored TUCP’s founding fathers, remembered its departed leaders, and recognized the present leaders who continue to lead the fight for workers today.

Under the theme Treasuring Unity, Creating Prosperity for Workers, TUCP reaffirmed its commitment to advance living wages, security of tenure, safe and healthy working conditions, an end to contractualization, and genuine decent work for all Filipino workers.

The celebration also marked TUCP’s 10th National Convention, where new leaders were welcomed and vital resolutions were adopted—addressing the immediate needs of Filipino workers and helping secure a stronger, more just future for the next generation of workers.
