The Final Family Puzzle Piece

This week, we’re back in the Netherlands for a truly special reason: finalizing the adoption of our baby girl, Nox! After a rough flight, we’re here for a court hearing that will make both of us her official dads—a legal step that means the world to us. While Nox has always been ours, having it on paper feels like the last piece of our family puzzle.

In between court and catching up with friends, we made time for a bit of fun—Simon finally got a dream purchase: a piano! Now, we just need to figure out how to get this huge piano back to France with us! We also took Nox for some autumn walks to soak in the beautiful fall colors and got her in for checkups and vaccinations, where she did incredibly well. Watching her grow and thrive is the biggest blessing we could ever hope for.

Meanwhile, my parents have been hard at work back in France, moving the renovation forward by painting the kitchen cabinets, fixing shutters, and tiling the bathroom. As much as we’ve enjoyed our time in the Netherlands, we’re ready to get back to France and dive into our renovation projects again.
