Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the formation of Ayodhya temple trust in a speech in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, days before Delhi holds a February 8 election that mainly pits the BJP against the ruling AAP.
The Shiv Sena, former BJP ally, has welcomed the announcement. But the Congress, Sena's government partner in Maharastra, has questioned its timing and linked it with the upcoming elections.
