[4K] 🇲🇽 Mexico City Metro | All the Lines

Описание к видео [4K] 🇲🇽 Mexico City Metro | All the Lines

The Mexico City Metro is one of the largest and most efficient transit systems in North America. With a total of 12 lines over 201 kilometers of track, this iconic system moves around 5.5 million passengers per day making it the second most used in the continent. There are 2 different types of trains which run on the system. The majority of lines use rubber tyred trains which come from various different manufacturers however lines A and 12 use conventional steel wheeled trains. The reason so many lines are like this is because of the city's terrain which is very uneven making it harder to run normal trains. There is a huge variety of rolling stock on the system with the oldest trains still in service. Almost all come in an orange livery however many also have a lot of grey. Fares are managed by the Movilidad Integrada and cost $5.00 MXN per ride to any destination. Unlike most cities this system has no passes or special fares and rather offer a cheap fare for everyone under any circumstance. You can use the Metro to connect with the various other modes of transport in the city and can do so with the same transit card. The Metro is an excellent way to get around Mexico City and I fully recommend it to anyone visiting. Enjoy the video :)
