Glimpses of Ireland: A visit to the Air India Disaster Memorial at Ahakista (Cork County) in Ireland on 23 June 2015 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Air India tragedy. The memorial has been built to honour the memory of 329 people who were killed when their Air India Flight 182 (a Boeing 747-237B named Kanishka) on the Montreal–London–Delhi route was blown up by a bomb at an altitude of 9400 metres and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean while in Irish airspace on 23 June 1985.

The Ahakista Air India Disaster Memorial has a garden and Sundial sculpted by Cork Sculptor Ken Thompson which was donated by the people of Canada, India and Ireland.
