the mc chris cartoon pitch (rough animation)

the mc chris cartoon has been a dream of mine since i released my first album in 2001. that's 12 years of dreams! after being turned down by my alma mater Adult Swim, where I starred in and helped animate shows like Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and The Brak Show, I went to my fan base and asked them for the dough via kickstarter.com.

Well in a month and a half we raised the money we needed and were able to go into production with Titmouse Animation (Venture Brothers, Super Jail, Black Dynamite, Metalocalypse, Afro Samurai, GI Joe Resolute) We finished the sound with JC Richardson (Archer) and made a trailer that we put up on You Tube. We were then able to go into development with a different network, and pilot script was written with Super Jail and Home Movies scribe Janine DiTullio.

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending upon how you look at it, in spite of signing a six episode contract, the show was recently dropped. But the good news is: now it's available to whomever is interested!

I've got 200,000 fans that have been waiting for this cartoon since I first premiered on Adult Swim and now you can you have that big chunk of viewership with a pretty bow on top. Remember this is just a pitch so the animation isn't done, it's only half of the pilot script and there are numerous things that will feel incomplete. The final version will look much different, have different characters, different dialogue, but this is the gist.
