In this video i'll show you the technique used to almost guarantee you kill the Mammoth of Doom first time, with very little else needed such as healing items etc.

Top Tips:
1: Know exactly where the boundaries of the fight arena are. The last thing you want is for his health to reset to full because you've veered outside the arena. It's easier to always know where the center summoning post is.
2: Make full laps of the arena, when a good distance has opened up between you and him, unload as many arrows at his weak spot as possible.
3: Bleed stack caused by poison arrows stacks to a max of 30, keep that going as long as possible for max effect.
4: Don't let him get close to you, you can get away with it a couple of times but don't risk it. When he stops to spray snow, that's when you attack
5: When cold stacks mount up on you, get your flame torch out and do laps around the arena, the torch will counter the effects quicker.
6: Don't get greedy causing damage, it's a marathon not a sprint.
7: Speed is your friend. Mammoth is pretty fast so maximize your speed perks using Jam, Excitant, and if you watched the step by step video you should have a Hunter so that's another 5% in movement speed.
8: When he throws ice, role to avoid chill stacking up against you.
9: Default 'left alt' is a hideous place for the role key, rebind it to something more accessible for you. Mine is on my mouse.
If you do all these things, you can't lose.
