Mozambique Violence: Two State Buildings Set Ablaze By Protesters, 20 Injured | Firstpost Africa

Deadly violence continues to batter Mozambique in the aftermath of the controversial October 9 presidential polls. In the latest, at least 20 people have been injured during clashes that took place in the capital Maputo over the weekend. As per the police, protesters set ablaze two state buildings in the capital. Police say the arsonists used homemade bombs to burn down the two government buildings. Demonstrators also cut off part of Maputo by blocking any moving traffic with burning tires, stones, and containers. Mozambique has been reeling from chaos and unrest after the country's electoral authority declared ruling Frelimo candidate Daniel Chapo the winner of presidential polls. Watch for more.
