The first part of the film is taken from the Ebay vault, photographer unknown, tentatively dated early 1978 from the very limited amount of VIA painted equipment and the Toronto section of the Canadian still being all CP Action Red. The second part was taken by Red Moser during the 1980 NRHS convention which accounts for some of the track level views in locations that would normally be off limits. In total it offers a nice cross section of the changes during the early years of VIA and views of the Spadina complex of yards and facilities which have now totally disappeared from the Toronto scene.
