Many projects require clear communication of proposed equipment layouts within facilities. Sometimes these are needed for bidding proposals, in other cases they are needed to reflect internal changes to production facilities. The Product Design & Manufacturing Collection includes Factory Design Utilities to help create 2D and 3D facility layouts that enable users to plan, visualize and validate their designs. One of the keys to leveraging these tools is utilizing the libraries of intelligent 2D/3D models included in the Factory Design Utilities. These intelligent models also known as assets represent the components that would be utilized in a layout. In this session, Senior Application Engineer, Javier Chavez focuses on how to use these assets and author your own library of assets. In addition, he gives an overview of the typical workflow for creating a facility layout.
