Simple Minds - Music Icons TV Documentary (2019)

Music Icons TV documentary produced in 2019 showing the history of Iconic Scottish New Wave/Post Punk/Rock group Simple Minds.
The documentary highlights the main course of events in the group's long career starting out in 1977 as the comedic punk group, Johnny and the Self Abusers, onto the formation of Simple Minds in 1979 through to 2018's release of their 18 studio album, Walk Between Worlds.

With its short length, this show barely skims the surface of a band that has produced such a varied, evolving style of music which effectively defined the sound of the 80s. A band that has gone through various line-up changes, with the exception of founding members Jim Kerr (vocals) and Charlie Burchill (electric guitar). A band that became one of the greatest live acts of all time, with allegedly around 3000 live performances within their extensive 45 year career.

Please forgive the abrupt edit at 14:27, YouTube wouldn't allow a section with "This Is Your Land". I did a better edit myself, then on that version they then wouldn't allow another section that contained "Let There Be Love". So I reverted back to the original and let YouTube do the edit of "This Is Your Land", removing that section albeit a bit more abruptly.
