This video tutorial shows Solus 3 GNOME Desktop installation on Oracle VirtualBox step by step. This tutorial is also helpful to install Solus 3 GNOME on physical computer or laptop hardware. We also install Guest Additions on Solus 3 for better performance and usability features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display, Shared Folder, Seamless Mode and Shared Clipboard, Improved Performance and Drag and Drop.

Steps:
1- Create Virtual Machine on Oracle VirtualBox
2- Start Solus 3 GNOME Desktop Installation
3- Install VirtualBox Guest Additions on Solus 3
4- Test Guest Additions Features: Automatic Resizing Guest Display and Shared Clipboard

Solus 3 GNOME New Features and Improvements
Solus is a Linux distribution built from scratch. It uses a forked version of the PiSi package manager, maintained as "eopkg" within Solus, and a custom desktop environment called "Budgie", developed in-house. This new major version of Solus 3 is now based on the latest stable branch of the Linux kernel, 4.12.7. This switch enables various hardware improvements for the latest AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA hardware. Users of the existing Linux-LTS kernel will continue to receive updates indefinitely. A major feature addition to Solus 3 comes in the form of the support for snaps, which is Canonical-developed package management system for Linux. This makes sure that Solus users gain access to a variety of new software and relieves the developers from doing extra work for a specific Linux distro. All Solus 3 versions come with Firefox 55.0.1, LibreOffice 5.4.0.3, Rhythmbox 3.4.1, and Thunderbird 52.2.1. Specifically, Solus Budgie and Solus GNOME ships with GNOME MPV 0.12.
