Thaipusam is back after a two-year hiatus. The Hindu festival will start from midnight on Feb 4. More than 10,000 devotees are expected to take part in various rituals like the kavadi. Officials from the Hindu Endowments Board and main temples involved said over 1,300 people have volunteered for the annual event. The procession will start from the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple and end at the Sri Thendayuthapani Temple. To ensure the safety of participants, there are six medical stations and more than 20 water points along the route.
