Expat Mom in Madrid: It's Harder Than Expected

These last 2 years have been one of the hardest I’ve faced. Between 2 pregnancies in a row, two lonely post-partum journeys (with lots of post-partum anxiety, hair loss, and hormonal imbalances), real struggles with breastfeeding, broken knee that lead to knee surgery, and raising 2 kids under 2, while I have no family member of my own to care for me - It’s been tough to feel optimistic. I want to use this space to keep myself accountable, document the ups and downs, and, hopefully, find the strength to get back to a normal life here in Madrid with my family.
