Many of my constituents are rightly concerned about the news from earlier in the week that nearly all railway station ticket offices across England could be closed. In my experience there is always a queue for the ticket machines when I travel so I share their concerns, and am not convinced that the plan to move ticket office staff on to station platforms and concourses would offer an adequate alternative.
