Ragweed is native to Arizona and this species is one of 41 species world wide. These plant's in Arizona can be as tall as 6'. Best time to harvest them is prior to them flowering, simply pick the leaves and boil em in some water with a little sea salt, pepper and some butter, shoot a couple of doves (in season of course) and your good to go.

Just be sure you do not pick these near agricultural areas as they use a lot of fertilizer and the run off contains high amounts of nitrates, particularly Nitrogen. The plant will store the Nitrogen and can have harmful levels in the leaves.
