The House Intel Chairman Mike Turner is calling on the US to consider direct military action if North Korean troops enter the battlefield in Ukraine. He calls it a red line that the US must enforce. South Korea is now looking at diplomatic, economic, and military options on how to respond. They also say they are considering giving Ukraine significantly more weapons, both defensive and offensive in nature. Such a move would be brutal for Russia as South Korea fields an artillery force three times larger than the US. They’re also debating sending military intelligence officers to Ukraine. They are very worried that Russia is giving North Korea tech to improve their nuclear missiles & helping them acquire a spy satellite. In addition, this is a pretty transparent way for North Korean troops to get combat experience. Kim Jong Un’s sister called Ukraine and South Korea “lunatics” for making “reckless remarks about nuclear weapons states”. At the BRICS summit today, Putin said that he’s open to peace. Yeah he wants peace alright… a little piece of Poland, a little piece of France, a little piece of Portugal, and Austria perchance.
