K’taka swearing-in ceremony today; Posters of Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar seen on Bengaluru streets

Swearing-in ceremony of the new Karnataka Chief Minister and Dy Chief Minister to be held on May 20. Streets of Bengaluru were decked up to welcome Congress’ top leadership. Siddaramaiah will be sworn in as chief minister of Karnataka at Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. As per sources, the invitation for the ceremony has been sent to like-minded opposition parties. While commenting on ‘happy affair’, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that this new government will benefit the state. “The swearing-in ceremony is today at 12 pm. CM, Dy CM and MLAs for the cabinet are taking oaths. Everyone is attending. It is a matter of delight that a new and strong Congress Government has come to power in Karnataka. This will benefit Karnataka and it is creating a good environment in the country,” he added.
