𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥, 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝

A teenager from Seppa, East Kameng district was allegedly blackmailed and harassed by a man she met through an online game, leading to an FIR being lodged at the Itanagar police station.

The victim, an 18-year-old woman, reported that she connected with the accused, identified as X (name concealed), through the mobile game ‘Mobile Legends’ in late July. Their online communication turned into a personal chat over WhatsApp, where the accused claimed to be from Guwahati and living alone. He convinced her to visit Guwahati, which she did on August 01.

The victim stated that she and the accused spent the day together and checked into a hotel in Beltola, where they became intimate. The next day, they visited the accused's family, who disapproved of their relationship.

Despite plans to return, the accused persuaded her to stay, and they returned to the hotel. The family intervened the next day, forcing her to board a bus back to Arunachal, but the accused continued to contact her.

On August 3, the accused allegedly took the victim to Tezpur, Assam, where they stayed in a hotel. During their time together, the accused secretly recorded intimate videos using her phone, which she had shared her password for in trust.

The victim later returned to Arunachal on August 05, but the accused continued his harassment, demanding nude video chats. He allegedly screen-recorded a video chat and sent it to her friends, also uploading it on her Instagram account on August 31.

On August 16, the victim visited New Cooch Behar, West Bengal, where the accused coerced her into staying at his rented accommodation. The accused allegedly threatened her with a knife to keep her from leaving, and falsely claimed to locals that they were married. Despite the victim's insistence on returning to Arunachal, the accused continued to manipulate and intimidate her.

When the victim attempted to leave on August 23, the accused sent more intimate videos to her contacts, threatening to release more if she did not return. He also accessed her social media accounts, uploading nude videos to her Instagram account, which went viral before the account was deactivated.

The accused, reportedly sent screenshots of the intimate videos to the victim’s aunt, further escalating his threats. In response, a police team, led by Inspector Chuman Chena, was dispatched to Guwahati and New Cooch Behar.

Using technical surveillance, the accused was apprehended at Cooch Behar railway station. The investigation revealed that the accused is a Child Care Labor (CCL).

The case is under investigation and the authorities are taking further action based on the ongoing findings.
