In this video I demonstrate how Microsoft Excel can be used with SQL, VBA and Data Validation techniques that make for a simple yet powerful solution that anyone can use to review and update sql database data. My particular example is the KuduTek Equipment Maintenance Utility which was designed to specifically read and edit SQL Server data for e-automate. However this works equally well for other databases than SQL Server, including Oracle, DB2, MySQL etc.

To update a SQL table from Excel is indeed feasible by combining Excel, VBA and SQL. One can automatically update data in Excel or have a manual validation step before you update the SQL database from Excel.
