Ford F350 Flatbed Build (Part 3)

In part 3 of this series we paint the cab of the truck and install the bed.

At the beginning we prep the truck by sanding the clear coat off, cutting out and replacing the cab corners and rocker pannels. Once the body work was completed, the vehicle was cleaned, masked, and finalized for paint.

We first started by shooting 2 coats of primer, then moved into the base coat, the base coat was GM cobalt blue used in between 2003 - 2007. We sprayed on 3 coats.

At this point is when we lost power, and we were not able to continue. The next day we were able to clear coat.3 coats of clear coat was applied and the truck was left inside for 2 days.

Then we put the flat bed on to the truck with the excavator. After that I installed the lights. The lights are trux brand four function, stop, turn, tail, and reverse all in one light head.

At the end of the video I installed side boards, the traditional beau style. As well as all the wiring for the lights, and for trailer were completed and seal up. Graphics to come !
