Cleaning your air conditioner and filter is pretty simple. I'm not an air con tech, I am a cleaner. Let me show you how ... in 3 minutes ... a simple way to clean your air conditioner if you are spring cleaning your house or moving out of a rental property.

Add this to your spring clean list because cleaning the air conditioner regularly will keep it in good working order

If the internal machinery is mouldy (you can see it and smell it) then you should definitely call in the pros though - don’t mess with the machine!

Products I used to clean this air conditioner:

A dry towel cloth to remove excess dust.

Good old dishwashing liquid with water in a spray.

A vacuum with the duster brush attachment will make your life easier

A wet microfibre cloth.

A scrubbing brush for the filters.

And, if it is mouldy, you will need something to kill the mould – like Clove Oil – just add a few drops to the dishwashing liquid spray.
