This tutorial will show you how to share files outside of a team in Microsoft Teams. Specifically, it will show you how to share files that are stored in a Team in Microsoft Teams with individuals who are not a member of the team. Files that are stored in the files tab of a channel in a Team can only be accessed by Team members by default. In some cases, you may want to share a file that is stored in Microsoft Teams with individuals who are not a member of the team. Fortunately, you can do this using the SharePoint Online view of the files stored in your Team in Microsoft Teams. Files that are stored in a team reside in a SharePoint Online document library that is created when the team is created. From the SharePoint Online document library, you can choose to share files with anyone in your organization, people with existing access, or with specific people. This tutorial will also show you how to share files in Microsoft Teams with read-only permissions and will also show you how to share files in Microsoft Teams and block individuals from downloading the files.
