First Time at Watkins Glens, First full weekend in Spec Miata with SCCA, first time on Hoosiers wet tires ... Challenging weekend but tons of fun and lots learned. Starting 4th after a damp qualification session, my lack of experience on these tires and at this track makes me just a tad cautious at the start. After a lap or two I know were the grip is and what the tires can do, and the pace improves a lot. I finish 2nd. Great time learning this amazing track. The Hoosier wet tires are fantastic. The experience acquired racing in rain in the pacific northwest definitively helped find my way around these challenging conditions !
