इस वीडियो में मिलिए पंजाब Punjab के फगवाड़ा में रहने वाले Avtar Singh Phagwara से। जिन्हें किसान अपना Doctor कहते हैं। देश के अलग-अलग राज्यों से हजारों किसान farmer उनसे खेती का वो तरीका सीखने आते हैं, उन्होंने करीब 30 वर्षों की मेहनत से खेती में काम करते हुए सीखा है, उन्होंने गन्ना Sugarcane और सब्जियों vegetable kheti की ऐसी तकनीकी farming techniques विकसित की है, जिसमें किसान सिर्फ पानी के सहारे fertilizer वाली फसल से ज्यादा उत्पादन ले सकते हैं। वो अपने खेतों में लगातार इसका इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं। अवतार सिंह अपने खेतों में ganne ke sath multi cropping (intercropping with sugarcane) करते हैं, जिससे गन्ने का उत्पादन तो ज्यादा होता ही है, गन्ने की खेती के बीच बेड पर गोभी, धनिया,टमाटर, गेहूं उगाकर वो उससे कई गुना ज्यादा पैसा कमाते हैं। इसके अलावा उन्होंने धान की खेती में Anaerobic Sowing Technique of rice (ASR) कर 90 फीसदी तक पानी बचाया है। उनके Sugarcane farm को देखने दूर-दूर से किसान आते हैं.. हजारों किसान उन्हें अपना खेती का गुरु मानते हैं।

Avtar singh phawada His Good Grow cropping technique reduces the water consumption used for cultivating rice by as much as 90%. Phagwara method solves two major issues related to rice cultivation. High water intensity crop and GHG emissions.
