WHO WAS FRIEDRICH DÜRRENMATT?

100 years ago today, Friedrich Dürrenmatt was born: Author, playwright, painter, intellectual, provocateur, bon vivant, and much more.
To this day, no other Swiss author's work has been translated into more languages. His remarks on art, society and politics are still relevant today and his plays are continuously shown on stages around the globe.

In order to honor and to get to know this extraordinary artist, the Swiss Representations in North America will dedicate the month of January to Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Join us on this journey and discover Dürrenmatt's plays, texts, paintings, and his way of life.
