Second unrated demon level by hypercube1 I'm uploading (First was showcased yesterday:    • Cool 2.0 Backgrounds! | "psy" by hypercube...  ) - and in my opinion, that's his best unrated level!

You might know hypercube for his epic rated auto "Technoloid", which was the first ever auto to receive the Epic rate. He was a very talented creator from the time, who could create some epic effects and backgrounds, do some cool sync and animations.

So, this level is his earlier work. Made in 2.0 originally, partially remade in very early 2.1 (that's why you see spider and dash/red orb gameplay here). Maybe it's still feature-worthy even in 2.2 honestly, what's here is sick! I love the backgrouds so much. Design is probably the weakest thing about the level since a lot of it is very basic and I can say somewhat lifeless, but actually it allows you to concentrate your gaze on what happens in background. Another thing that's not rly good is the flashes, they can really hurt your eyes.

Now, about gameplay. It might be a little scary at first, especially the drop with quick transitions and masked portals. However it doesn't take too long to be learnt imo, only took ~10 minutes for me to remember everything, comparable to something like Right Here Waiting by zaRIKU but you have more visual clues where every single portal is, making drop easier to sightread later. It also actually becomes really fun to play after you learn it!

Hardest part is definitely the after-drop, ships specifically. Straightflys are really tight and you easily can lose control on the nerves. I died at 90%, 95% and at ~88% before I completed the level.

Anyway, hope you like it! One of my new favourite unrateds from 2.0. Sick stuff. Glad I checked more stuff from hypercube1's catalogue.
