Earth Song by Frank Ticheli – Mount Royal Kantorei; Dedicated to the people of Ukraine

Описание к видео Earth Song by Frank Ticheli – Mount Royal Kantorei; Dedicated to the people of Ukraine

«And music and singing shall be my light.»

Earth Song speaks to the sufferings inflicted on this world by conflict, war, and pain. But, in the midst of struggle, music and singing can be a refuge; a light and a way forward towards peace. Filmed at Calgary's Poppy Plaza on Memorial Drive, Mount Royal Kantorei stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and dedicates this performance to the strength, courage, and resilience of those resisting Russia's invasion of that sovereign nation. As well, to those who have fought to preserve freedom worldwide.

Earth Song
This dark stormy hour,
The wind, it stirs.
The scorched earth
Cries out in vain:
O war and power,
You blind and blur,
The torn heart
Cries out in pain.
But music and singing
Have been my refuge,
And music and singing
Shall be my light.
A light of song.
Shining Strong: Alleluia!
Through darkness, pain, and strife, I’ll
Sing, Be, Live, See …
Peace.
