What Is The Best Magic The Gathering Format?

Saffron Olive brought up a great topic on twitter the other day: What Makes A Good Format In Magic The Gathering?

He lists the the following criteria:

Diverse (archetype, deck, card)
Agency (my decisions in deck building and playing matter)
Interactive (interplay of decks rather than two people goldfishing)
Evolving (the meta changes over time)
Managed (someone is actively steering the ship).
