The theme of our today's video is "Spread the joy of colors this Holi but with a sense of ‘responsibility’".
Holi, the festival of colors, is a day when the whole country is painted as vibrant as the rainbow and every home is abuzz with friends and visitors.
India loves celebrating its festivals, especially Holi. But there’s a cost to these celebrations — massive wastage of water. Water is one of the most important resource a human being needs to survive. Many of us, being privileged who have access to as much water as we need, we forget the importance of it and not at all thinking and caring about the underprivileged and this limited natural resource which is going to vanish in the upcoming times.
There's a saying that the next world war will held for water, and hence it's sometimes referred to as "Liquid Gold". In a research, it is found that if a person bathes with bucket and mug everyday and not with shower, then on an average 75 liters of water would be saved daily, that means 27000 liters every year, just by changing a small habit by a single person. Let's pledge to not waste water anymore and help others to have it who are really in need just by making little changes in our lives, because with small change comes big difference.
