[HOW TO] Change Engine Oil on a 2015-2022 V6 Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon (The Best on YT)

**IMPORTANT INFO IN DESCRIPTION** This video will show you how to drain the oil and change the oil filter on a 2017-2022 Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon equipped with a 3.6L V6 LGZ motor.

This oil change process will be virtually identical for 2015-2016 models. However, that model year had a 3.6L LFX V6. The difference being those engines have a different part number for the oil filter. Also, those engines have an aluminum oil filter cap.

Regardless of what year, the V6 motor takes 6 quarts of DEXOS spec oil. In this video I used 6 Quarts of Mobile 1 5W30, which has the DEXOS specification that GM wants.
