In this video I show you some of the best speaking activities for the ESL classroom. These activities are designed for all ages, from kids to teens and even adults and are focussed on practicing the past simple.

When we ask our students what skill they'd like to improve they almost always say, speaking. Not reading. Not listening and not writing. Luckily, students love doing speaking activities in class and over the last 12 years I've designed a lot. In this video, I have put together some that have worked the best to get students practicing the past simple.

These tasks are not designed for any level in particular so you can adapt them depending on whether you're working with beginner or advanced learners.
