We started Red Truck because we feel the appeal of fly fishing is simple. While you can get as deep into hatches and tides as you want, we're still just fooling fish with fancy-looking hooks.

Here at Red Truck, we're also sure that angling is timeless. The truck we chose for our logo is a 1953 GMC 100, not because we think things were better in the 1950s, but because this truck is classic, just like fly fishing. Back in the day, you grabbed your rod, your reel, a river hat with some flies in it, and you went fishing. If you were lucky, you drove a truck to the river, with a dog in the back. It was all quite simple, really.
The 1953 Series reflects this simplicity. Here, you'll find two crisp and subtle fly rods, a five weight and an eight weight, which you can use to fish ninety-five percent of the world. From Alaska, to the creek out back, to the East Coast, and on to somewhere like the Bahamas, these rods will do the job beautifully, without making things too complicated.
