साईं बाबा ने ली समाधि : सांईं बाबा ने शिर्डी में 15 अक्टूबर दशहरे के दिन 1918 में समाधि ले ली थी। 27 सितंबर 1918 को सांईं बाबा के शरीर का तापमान बढ़ने लगा। उन्होंने अन्न-जल सब कुछ त्याग दिया। बाबा के समाधिस्त होने के कुछ दिन पहले तात्या की तबीयत इतनी बिगड़ी कि जिंदा रहना मुमकिन नहीं लग रहा था। लेकिन उसकी जगह सांईं बाबा 15 अक्टूबर, 1918 को अपने नश्वर शरीर का त्याग कर ब्रह्मलीन हो गए। उस दिन विजयादशमी (दशहरा) का दिन था।
