I wrote this song in 1982. Brother Don Johnson was standing behind me as I wrote the song, and as I was singing it he said with a loud voice, "I want to record that song..." A few weeks later brother Johnson recorded this song in Nashville at Hilltop studios. Through the years I have received many testimonies from people all over the world giving thanks to the Lord for the blessings received while listening to brother Johnson sing my song. Ten years after i wrote the song I was called on to sing it at the ALJC General Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. While I was singing, brother Johnson got happy and joined in. I tried to get him to sing a verse, but he had forgotten the words and walked away leaving me to sing it alone until the finish. These are awesome memories in my life. I praise god for these special moments that I will always be thankful for.
