November 18, 2020 — With the outlook for a bilateral trade agreement between Taiwan and the United States improving, a panel of experts assess whether the deal would be in the U.S.' national interest and to what degree it would provoke China.
Participants include Asia Society Policy Institute Vice President Wendy Cutler; Rupert Hammond-Chambers, president of the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council; and Roy Chun Lee, associate research fellow and deputy director of the Taiwan World Trade Organization (WTO) and Regional Trade Agreement Center at the Chung Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER). The conversation was moderated by Asia Society Executive Vice President Tom Nagorski. James K.J.
