Alarippu in khanda jathi eka talam

Alarippu means "flowering" or "to blossom". It is the shortest and simplest piece in a Bharatanatyam repertoire. It is performed as an invocatory piece in a recital. It is also considered as a warm up for the full recital.

This alarippu has been choreographed and recited by Dr. S. Divyasena.
