Hi guys, in today's video I'll talk about the 5" Blackmagic video assist 12g. A great monitor that I love to use with my Panasonic Lumix S1 & S5, but also with cinema cameras that I often rent like the RED Komodo. Next to be a fantastic super bright monitor, with all the inputs and outputs I need, this is also a solid external recorder that let me film in BRAW or Apple ProRes HQ.

- Positive Aspects of the BMD VA 5" = Small, Lightweight, Well Built, Bright Monitor (2500 Nits), 12g SDI IN-OUT, HDMI IN-OUT, 2 Battery Slots, SD and SSD Recording, BRAW & ProRes HQ Recording Options.

- Negative Aspects of the BMD VA 5" = Lack of Audio Inputs (get the 7" if you need them), Digital Sharpening with Lumix S Cameras (not present on Fujifilm Cameras).
