This is the official channel of the TV show Swiss Railway Journeys, run in association with MITV, the production company that created the show. The following episode represents original content made and copyrighted by MITV, and its content is in no way repurposed.

Join us for a scenic ride through the beautiful Emmental countryside as we make a circular journey around the VHB section of the Emmental Railway's network.

Our springtime tour begins at Langenthal, and takes us through lush, flower-filled meadows to Huttwil, where we trace the history of the line and look at steam and electric traction through the decades.

After leaving Huttwil we travel along the rails of the former Huttwil-Wolhusen railway, which celebrated its centenary in 1995. En route we pause to enjoy a sight-seeing tour of the walled town of Willisau, and see the arrival of a new loco.

At Wolhusen we join the Swiss Federal Railway's line from Luzern to Bern, which we take as far as Langnau. Here we look at the traditional houses of the region and visit the Heimatmuseum which features Emmental life through the centuries.

We rejoin the EBT to make the connection to Ramsei, before returning to Huttwil once more. Along the way we enjoy the wonderful rural countryside and see the Emmental Show Dairy, where some of the region's famous cheese is made.
