USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future (CPF) presents the annual Warschaw Conference on Practical Politics "2022 Midterm Madness and Beyond" on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

CPF's annual Warschaw Conference brings together top experts from politics, government, media, and academia to explore the most pressing issues in America's political landscape. In this year's conference, panelists assessed what happened in the 2022 midterms nationally, how California and Los Angeles were impacted by the elections, and how candidates and campaigns are shaping up for the 2024 presidential election.

Panel 4: "Finding Common Ground: The State of Our Democracy"

CPF Director Bob Shrum joined Democratic political icon James Carville and former White House Chief of Staff and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus for a Common Ground Committee discussion on the 2022 midterm election results and the state of our democracy. They discussed the biggest takeaways from the midterm election, Carville's take on a Biden second run, and Priebus' experiences in the Oval Office. This conversation was in partnership with Common Ground Committee.
