You Ask For The "SPICIEST Dish on the Menu?" Insane Fermented Shrimp Dip in Surat Thani

I can't say that I've ever had such a reaction from a single bite of food - I find myself asking the question - "Seriously now, WHAT do they put IN this?! It is INCREDIBLE!"

Welcome to Surat Thani, one of the centers of SOUTHERN Thai food, and the newest location for this 2022 summer's adventure. Personally I had yet to visit Surat Thani, and so after 13 years here in Thailand, I am super stoked to come!!

Thank you for joining us today, and I hope that this crazy recipe for the house specialty dish "Nam Prik Goong Siap" has you jumping out of your chair (to purchase tickets to Thailand, or just for the exercise, because both are good things to do right now!!**).

The lovely family running this restaurant also prepares the slightly sour rice noodles with curry and vegetables, a huge selection of Southern Thai curries, AND the servings of deep fried fish with shrimp paste (I got the latter 2, there were no noodles remaining once Li and I found our way here for lunch), I can highly recommend this place for a breakfast/early lunchtime spot in Surat Thani main town area.
