Now before you try to do this yourself, you should know a little trick. You may know that you can change the height at which your hover quad floats and this is what you need to do. So set the hover height to maximum before you hit the ground. It may not seem like much but it makes the difference between surviving and dying.

I'm not entirely happy with the result, but it turned out to be difficult to reach a hangar, as some areas of the spaceport kill you as soon as you enter them.
