Innovation in the public sector: Virginia Staab at TEDxFCTUNL 2013

Virginia Staab is the Public Affairs Officer of U.S. Embassy Lisbon. In this capacity, Gini oversees all cultural and press affairs for the Mission, acts as the official Embassy spokesperson and advises the Ambassador, Deputy Chief of Mission, and fellow senior advisors on public diplomacy aspects of the bilateral relationship. She also represents the Ambassador as the President of the Fulbright Commission and is the Embassy's institutional link with the Luso-American Foundation (FLAD).

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
