okay this is kinda my long, hard amd very difficult battle with Raging Brachydios, but i am willing to share my own guide as to how to beat Raging Brachydios with only a Great sword from this video.

1. before you go and fight with Raging Brachydios, you have to create a build of your strongest defense armor set, like mine the complete Damascus armored set B+ with the decoration build of:
max Attack Boost.
max Defense Boost.
max Blast Resistance "it will completely Nullify the Brachydios mucus from sticking onto you and then later explode on you"
max Focus
max Blight Resistance
and last but not least Fortify "for every time you faint on a hunt, your attack state will increase"
p.s. "other important decoration like stamina surge, Guard, iron skin, health boost and health recovery boost at max level will also be a great help too for better endurance to block Raging Brachydios on coming explosive range attack when it is in rage"

2. make sure that you all healing items in your pouch along with shock and pit traps to trap the Raging Brachydios when that small magma is about to burst when you get to phase 2 to give it more damage ahead of time, along with any other surrounding environment, like the sleep pounder toad, if you use it, you can put raging Brachydios to sleep, which is your best chance of setting up mage Barrel Booms.

3. you only need a health Booster, and a Temporal mantle, you need the temporal mantel to latch onto raging Brachydios's high legs only to wound it, so you will have a better chance at dealing more damage to it, then attacking it's head, arms and tail, you also do it when you latch onto its face as well to send it charging into the wall, but that is just a choice if it going to make it much easier for you to do it with or without it.

lastly 4. when you do reach phase 3, make sure that you restock all of your healing items including any sort of buff states for the final showdown, cause on phase 3, it is all about timing, finding a good small opening for an attack, and keep on moving and avoid magma mucus that will explode upon the raging Brachydios's mighty Roar to Triger them. from there you mostly will have to relay on the tamporal mantel, and using the Crystals to send the Raging Brachydios to the wall and deal as much Damage as possible and repeat the same thing. it is all about being patient and attack only when you see a good chance too attack.
